Apart from walking around and some push-ups in Tokyo, I haven’t done much sport for two weeks. So I searched for a children’s playground. It took me a while to find one, to go there, and to complete my pull-up session. After taking a shower I felt too exhausted to go out and do tourism. I started to read news articles on the internet.
Around 4.30pm I started to feel guilty, so I decided to go to the Himeji castle, which looks so beautiful on the pictures. I walked to the castle park - to discover another playground, much nearer to the hostel! Some loudspeakers announced that the castle will close at 5pm. Seems that I arrived too late. I walked around the zoo, and found the other part of the castle park. I made pictures, bought some postcards, walked around in the park. I thought that counts as tourism, so I went back to the hostel.
I met several people who had arrived today at the hostel, Thomas and Jan from France, Jörg from Germany and a woman from Switzerland. Actually I had met Jörg 11 days ago in Fujiyoshida! He managed on the second try to climb up Mount Fuji to see the sunset. We four guys went out for dinner and chose an Italian fast food restaurant. The guys took pasta and I pizza. On our way back to the hostel we saw the beautifully illuminated castle. Jörg and I decided to get our cameras and to take some pictures.
